Alzheimer's Iron Pour in downtown Hornell
Outside the Creative Art Center during the Hornell Art Walk!!
You and members of the community are invited to participate in making your own ‘RELIEF SCULPTURE’. With the help of foundry students you will be able to carve your own unique design which will then be cast in metal. This is open to adults and children with supervision; anyone can do it for a $10 donation to the charity. Or you can just come watch the action too! All of the sculptures made will be cast in iron that day and participants will be able to take their ‘relief sculpture’ home with them.
Alongside the casting of the relief sculptures will be several other exciting events including a foundry guild table as well as Alzheimer's Glass and Iron table.
Additionally an Alzheimer's Association representative will be present to help rally the community and answer any questions attendees may have about Alzheimer's.
Half of the proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Association, the other half will go towards the foundry guilds travels to the 7th international cast iron arts conference in Latvia.
