Childrens Relief Block Activity

In August members of the Alzheimer’s Glass and Iron team volunteered with children from Salem’s Lunch & Learn Program and the Greenwich Public Library on an activity focused on memory. The book "What's Happening To Grandpa?" was read. Written by Maria Shriver, it explains the effects of Alzheimer's and memory loss in an age appropriate way. The children then carved a special memory into a relief block (that souvenir was poured in iron on August 16th at Salem Art Works). Ice-cream was kindly donated by the acclaimed Battenkill Creamery. A fun and tasty time was had by all!
