On October 18th the Alzheimer’s Glass and Iron project will be hosting a free educational brunch that will focus on Alzheimer’s Awareness. The Eastern New York Alzheimer’s Association will be presenting the panel, "Basics of Memory Loss," after which the Alzheimer’s Glass and Iron project will give an informational talk about the project and their accomplishments during their time at Salem Art Works.
The event accommodates all family members. Elderly attendees suffering with Alzheimer’s and Dementia will be invited to paint with members of the Alzheimer’s Glass and Iron team while caregivers take part in informational panels lead by the Alzheimer’s Association. Activities for children will include pumpkin painting and a reading of the book “What’s Happening to Grandpa” by Maria Shriver.
